2. The plants you receive may be a slightly different color than pictured because water lilies  change color over the three days they are in bloom and because of the difficulty in capturing true color in photographs.  However, water lilies and lotus are wonderful regardless of the color!
3. The genus of water lilies, "Nymphaea" is abbreviated N. for convenience.  The genus of lotus, "Nelumbo" is used without abbreviation.

 Lotus tubers are shipped in early spring - usually February to April.  The wonderful blooms appear from early June to October.

Aquatic marginals are plants that grow well at the edge of water or in a few inches of water. They like to have their feet wet and a few like an inch or two of water over the crown. Floaters are plants that float freely on the top of water.
