Bagdad
Bagdad flowers are light blue with yellow anthers tipped in blue. The stellate (star) shaped flowers grow to an 8 inch diameter. A sweet fragrance is emitted in mid-morning to attract pollinators. Green leaves have many purple to red splashes on the 10-12 inch pads. It is also viviparous - grows new plants on the leaf. Plants with this trait are more tolerant of cooler temperatures.

Blue Aster
It may look like an Aster with lots of petals and a yellow center but this one grows in water. The green pads have vivid purple mottling and spread 4-6 feet. This plant makes a bold statement and earned the Best New Water Lily of 2005.

Blue Spider
Blue Spider got its name from the maroon spider web pattern on the green leaves. The violet blue flowers are held high above the water. This is a medium size plant spreading 4-6 feet.

Green Smoke
Green Smoke has been available since 1965. It has many large blooms starting with light yellow in the center and gradually becoming smoky green at the petal tips. The cup shaped blooms are held high above the water. The pads are green with dark spashes of color. This water lily has a fresh clean aroma noticable by midmorning. Plant this water lily in a medium to large pond as the leaves will spread over six feet.

Islamorada
Islamorada water lily is named for the Florida Key Islamorada meaning purple isle. Islamorada water lily is purple with white spots and darker purple centers. The star shaped bloom grows to 4-6 inches in diameter and emits a fragrance mid-morning. As a viviparous plant it is more cold tolerant than non-viviparous plants. The pads are olive green and spread 3-5 feet. A unique plant with the white spots!

Laura Frase
The blooms on Laura Frase stand well above the water with blue- cup shaped- flowers containing 35 petals and 8-11 inches in diameter. An added bonus is the fragrance. One year we had a Laura Frase with 13 blooms and buds at one time. Don't expect this as normal but rather as a statement of a heavy blooming plant. The new leaves are first a bronze color then green with purple splashes. A great medium size plant for medium to large ponds.

Star of Zanzibar
Star of Zanzibar is a vigorous bloomer. The star shaped- dark blue-flowers emit a strong fragerance in the morning. The green pads with maroon markings are arranged in a compact circle even when the plant reaches its flull size of five to six feet.
