Peppermint Splash
Peppermint Splash was new in 2023. The star shaped flowers have some petals that are pink with white splashes, other petals are white with pink to red splashes and others are solid dark pink with white splashes and a yellow center. Although the picture does not show all of the color variations, when you see all of the blooms on the plant, there will be all of the color combinations described. There is a lot to look at with this plant. The leaves are green with maroon splashes. An unusual hybrid!

Queen of Siam
Queen of Siam has pink flowers that are a sharp contrast to the green and maroon leaves. Additionally this is a viviparous plant that grows new plants on the leaves. St. Louis Gold
The whole flower is deep yellow and stellate. It tends to open later in the day than other water lilies but it also stays open later in the day. The pads are bronze with small purple splashes then turn to olive green and spread 4-5 feet. Grow in full sun or partial shade.

Texas Shell Pink
Think conch shell coloring with this night blooming plant. Flowers are white with reddish purple and a little orange and yellow added for good measure. The 8 inch platter shaped flowers give off a cinnamon like fragrance. The pads are dark bronze color and spread 5-6 feet. Grow in full sun.

Tina
Tina is a free flowering and fragrant plant with violet-purple flowers and a yellow center. It has green pads spreading 4-6 feet. It adapts well to smaller containers. We have some growing in decorative pots that are only 12 inches in diameter. Because it is a viviparous plant it is more cold hardy than other tropical plants. Grow in full sun to part shade.

Victoria Cruziana
This is the queen of night-blooming plants and part of our collector group. The first night the flowers are white opening quickly at dusk and remaining open for the night and most of the next day. Just prior to opening the pineapple or butterscotch aroma fills the evening air and signals the opening flower. By dusk the next day it is pink and 9-11 inches in diameter. The pads are green with a pie crust edge and covered in spines except the top of the leaf. It may reach 8 feet in diameter if planted in a very large container. In a large pond it may spread up to 40 feet if heavily fertilized. Heavy fertilizer translates into about 2-3 cups of fertilizer or, as the 'old timers' said a sock full. It may also be maintained at smaller sizes by planting it in smaller containers. We have one we limit to an 8 foot square pond.
This plant is shipped bare root and requires the pond water to be 80-85 degrees to avoid shock. Gradually expose the plant to full sun to prevent burning of the leaves. After adapting to the pond it may be placed in full sun and water temperature of 75-90 degrees. This is a very fast growing annual and lasts one year.

Virginia McLane water lily produces dark red flowers with yellow centers. The green pads have maroon splashes and spread about 5-6 feet. Check for an aroma during morning hours when pollinators are active.

You could own an award winning water lily. William McLane was named The Best New Water Lily of 1997. It has large blue flowers with 48 petals. During cooler weather the flowers are purple. The leaves are green with maroon splashes and spread 4-6 feet.
