Acorus gramineus Variegata
Also known as Variegated Sweet Flag. It is an ideal plant to add texture and height in a pond. A bonus is the pleasant aroma emitted when crushed. It will grow 8-10 inches tall and spread 12 inches. Grows best in sun to part shade with water depth up to 6 inches over the crown. Zone 4-11.

Acrosticum danaefolium

Alexis attracts attention with over 100 purple petals and inner petaloids in white with a yellow center. The platter shaped blooms are 6-7 inches in diameter. The pads are green and spread 4-6 feet. An added bonus is the pleasant aroma. Grow in full sun to part shade.

Amethyst Mist
Amethyst Mist was named the Best New Tropical Water Lily in 2017 by the International Water Lily and Water Gardening Society and was released to the public in 2021. Now you can own a winner., There are about 50 petals each dark purple and turning lighter purple in the center. The flowers are large. The pads are green with maroon splashes.

Colorata
Colorata is a species plant- not a hybrid. The cup shaped flowers are rich violet-blue with reddish blue tipped anthers. The flowers are 4.5 to 5.5 inches in diameter. The leaves are green and 8-9 inches. The plant spread is 3-6 feet making it ideal for containers or small ponds. It will continue to bloom when the water temerature drops to 65 degrees F. It is the parent plant for Director George T. Moore and Midnight water lilies.

Crinum menehune
This crinum is a great addition to the pond. The dark red strap leaves and light pink blooms provide a focal point. Even when not blooming the leaves provide a nice contrast to mostly green marginal plants. Grows to 18 inches tall in moist soil to 3 inches of water over the crown. Zone 9-11.

Cyperus percamenthes
Commonly referred to as Dwarf Giant Papyrus it is just like the giant papyrus used to make paper but this one only grows 2 feet tall. Grow in sun or part shade with plenty of fertilizer and about 4 inches of water over the crown. Zones 9-11.

Dichromena latifolia
White Top Sedge is grass like with white blooms. It will grow 12-24 inches tall and may be given a hair cut if it is too tall. It grows best in sun to part shade and moist soil or up to 1 inch of water over the crown. Zones 8-11.

Equisetum hyemale
You may know this plant as Horsetail and its tendency to roam in available space. It provides a nice vertical contrast to leafy plants. It has green and black bamboo like stems growing 24-30 inches tall if the pot is big enough. Grows well in sun to part shade with moist soil and no water over the crown. Zones 4-11.

Foxfire
